OUR POLICIES

Check-in:

Check-in is any time after 2:00 pm. If a late check-in is expected, we are happy to accommodate it as long as we know in advance. Check-out time is 12 noon.

Cancellations:

If a cancellation is made at least 21 days prior to scheduled arrival, a refund will be made, less 20% service charge. If cancellation is made in less than 21 days, and the room is re-rented, the same policy applies. However, if the room is not re-rented, deposit is not refundable. For groups taking the entire inn, the deposit is non-refundable.

Minimum Stay Requirements:

During the Tanglewood season, and on holidays, a three-night stay is required on weekends and full payment by check is requested in advance.

Other times of the year, a two night stay is required on most weekends.

Rooms:

The Inn has eight rooms, seven of which are large. All rooms have private baths and five have fireplaces. Rooms accommodate two persons and most have space for an additional bed. The cost for the extra bed is $15.00 per night.

There is also a large parlour with a fireplace and grand piano for guests to enjoy. During the warmer seasons, a large rear verandah and screened porch also provide cozy places to relax

The library-cinema has good books to read and fine films to watch on our giant 12-foot screen with projection system.

Other policies:

We welcome well mannered pets, with prior approval. Because of the extra work necessary in cleaning a room that has accommodated a pet guest, we ask an additional $10 per day cleaning fee.

Children 12 and over are always welcomed. Children under that age may also stay at Walker House, depending on the season and room availability. Please ask.

We are a completely non-smoking inn, and we prefer that smoking be done on the grounds, far from the inn and its porches.

Room Rates:

Please note: Prices vary according to size and location of room. During July and August, weekend rates apply from Thursday through Sunday. In addition, there is hotel tax of 9.7%. There are no mandatory gratuities. A generous continental breakfast is included and served in our dining room between 8:30 and 10:00. Tea or lemonade is served at 4:00 pm.

Directions:

From NYC and points south:

Take Taconic State Parkway to Route 23 east to Great Barrington. Take Route 7 North through Stockbridge, bear left onto Route 7A to Lenox. At stop sign, make a left turn and Walker House is directly on your left.

From Boston and points east:

Take the Mass Pike (I-90) west to Exit 2 (Lee). Take Route 20 West through downtown Lee and outside of Lee and few miles, make left turn onto Route 183 West. This is Walker Street, and Walker House is about one mile on the left.

From Albany and points west:

Take Mass Pike (I-90) to Exit 2 (Lee). Take Route 20 West to Route 183 West to Lenox. Walker House is on left about one mile down.
